Melvin T. Johnson
Melvin T. Johnson, 69, well known area farmer, died suddenly
at his home in Aledo, Monday, Nov. 2, 1987. Funeral services will be at
2 p.m., Thursday, at the Fippinger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Fippinger Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m.,
this evening, Wednesday.
Mr. Johnson was born May 10, 1918 west of Aledo, son of John
August and Ethel Maude Morford Johnson. He attended Aledo school and
graduated from Aledo High School. He married Donna Riddell on Dec. 19,
1943 in Aledo and the couple farmed east of Aledo until his retirement in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Eleanor Klev of
Suffern, NY and Marte Welch of Aledo; and three granddaughters, Beth
Klev and Allison and Julie Welch; a grandson, Richard Klev; two sisters,
Mrs. Nellie Foster and Mrs. Mabel Jones, both of Aledo.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
