Elsie Kalkhoff

  The rite of Christian burial for Elsie Kalkhoff of Templeton will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25. 1997, at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton.
  Mrs. Kalkhoff, 85, died Sunday, June 22, 1997, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.
The Rev. Gary Snyder will officiate the service. Servers will be Christin Fara, Katie Gehling and Beth Hackfort. Gift bearers will be John Kerkhoff and Barb Niehaus.
  Casket bearers will be John Kerkhoff, Joe Kalkhoff, Dan Kalkhoff, Rick Hoffman, Duane Gehling, Dwight Gruhn, Jim Niehaus, Al Fara and Mike Vonnahme.
  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Manning.
  Friends called and the Catholic Daughters of America recited a rosary this afternoon at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 and a rosary at 8 tonight at the funeral home.
  She was born April 28, 1912, at Templeton, a daughter of Gerhard and Catherine (Ferneding) Kettmann, and attended Sacred Heart School at Templeton.
  She and William F. Kalkhoff were married May 2, 1933, at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton.
  The Kalkhoffs farmed southwest of Templeton until retiring and moving into town.
  She was a member of Sacred Heart parish, the Ladies Guild and the Catholic Daughters of America.
  Survivors include a daughter, Betty Kerkhoff, and her: husband, Earl, of Templeton; a son, Edwin Kalkhoff, and his wife, Catherine, of Manning; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Mayme Willenborg of Carroll and Anna Kettmann of Manning.
  Mrs, Kalkhoff was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, George Kettmann;.two sisters: Emma Kettmann and Kate Willenborg; and a greatgranddaughter, Mary Ann Kerkhoff,

Nuptials At Templeton

  Templeton (Special) - Miss Rose Elsie Kettman and William Kalkhoff were married Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at Sacred Heart church. Nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Husemann.
  The bride wore a beautiful gown of white taffeta and lace in basque effect and tiered skirt. The long tight fitting sleeves were of lace, and her cap effect veil fell to the bottom of her dress, which was floor length. Her accessories were white and she carried a bouquet of tea roses.
  The bridesmaid. Miss Rose Kalkhoff, wore nile green with flared skirt and basque and short puffed sleeves. She wore a three strand silver head band and carried red roses.
  George Kettman, a brother of the bride, was the best man. Bridegroom and groomsman wore dark blue suits.
  The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kettman and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louus Kalkhoff. The couple will make their home on a farm one and three quarters of a mile southwest of Templeton.
