Funeral of Chas. Keating, Jr.

The funeral service of Chas. Keating, Jr. was held Tuesday at the home of his parents at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. R. Sawhill. Charles Sylvester Keating was born Nov. 16, 1911 and came into this world like as a flower to the family and one that bloomed only a short time, having been called from this world on Feb. 18, 1912, and went to his heavenly home, where he will bloom forever, not as in this world, bloom for a while, and then fade away, but for ever and ever. He is not gone that his parents will not see him again, but has gone on before and is waiting for father, mother and sister to join him in the heavenly home where all have peace and happiness. He was in good health until about Jan. 30, when he was taken with a cold and a doctor was called and the boy seemed to get some better. Feb. 11, he became ill and his trouble developed into bronchial pneumonia. The best of care was given him, but in spite of all that the end came. The services were conducted by Rev. W. R. Sawhill and music furnished by the Pleasant Hill church. The pall bearers were Ruth Swift, Cecil Caldwell, Myrtle Saville and Jennie Carr. The remains were laid away to rest in the Elm Grove cemetery.
