Mary A. Welch Keefe
Mrs. William Keefe died at her home in Taylor county,
Thursday, November 17, 1927, following a long illness from cancerous
trouble. The funeral was held at St. Patrick's Catholic church in
Corning Monday at 10:00 a. m., conducted by Rev. Father Powers.
Interment was made in Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. Keefe, formerly Miss Mary Welch, was born in Springfield,
Ill. With her parents, she came to this community in early life and
alter was married to William Keefe, also a resident of this locality.
Mr. and Mrs. Keefe spent their wedded life on their present home farm in
Taylor county.
To Mr. and Mrs. Keefe six children were born, all of whom survive
their mother. They are James, John and Margaret Keefe, and Mrs. Tom
McCann, at home; Mrs. James Wallace and Mrs. Tom Welch, near Creston.
Beside her children, Mrs. Keefe leaves her husband and other relatives
and many friends, who mourn the passing on of this good lady.
