Funeral To Be Thursday For Mrs. Kelleher
Funeral services will be held Thursday for Mrs. Margaret
Kelleher, 90 of Reynolds, who died Tuesday morning, April 14, 1959, in
Comfort Harbor nursing home, Milan, where she resided since December.
She had been ill for several years.
The funeral rites will be conducted at 8:15 Thursday in the
Crummy Funeral Home, Reynolds, and at 9 a. m. at St. Ambrose Catholic
church, Milan, with Father John Shields of Rock Island officiating.
Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery, Rock Island.
The rosary will be recited tonight, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
The former Margaret Cecilia Shea, she was born July 24, 1868, in
Mechanicsville, Iowa, and had resided in the Reynolds community since
1890. She was married to the late Thomas Kelleher on Sept. 2, 1890, in
Mechanicsville. He was a farmer.
Mrs. Kelleher was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church of
Edgington and a charter member of its Altar and Rosary society.
She also was a member of the Royal Neighbors camp of Reynolds.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Gertrude Kelleher of Milan,
Mrs. Vincent Daniel of Davenport, and Mrs. Charles McManus of Reynolds;
two sons, John Kelleher of Reynolds, and Edward of Milan; 10
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 26, 1917; two
sons, James and Thomas; three sisters, and two brothers.
