George H. Kettman
Templeton - George H. Kettmann, 66, of Templeton died at 9:30
p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll
after a four-day illness.
Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday
at Sacred Heart Church here by the Rev. Eugene T. Schumacher. Burial
will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Ohde
Funeral Home, Manning, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday. The
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Saturday and at 3 and 8 p.m. Sunday,
the last being the parish rosary.
Mr. Kettmann, son of Gerhard and Catherine Ferneding Kettmann,
was born near Manning Aug. 11, 1909. He farmed until moving into Templeton in 1971.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church here.
Surviving are four sisters including Anna, with whom he made his
home, Mrs. Catherine Willenborg of Dedham, Mrs. Mayme Willenborg and
Mrs. William (Elsie) Kalkhoff of Templeton; also 11 nieces and nephews.
Another sister, Emma, died in January, 1923.

Templeton - Mass of the resurrection for George H. Kettman,
66, Templeton, was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart
Church here by the Rev. Eugene T. Schumacher.
Pallbearers were Dennis Bauer, Lambert Schwaller, Clarence
Fangman, Frank Knueven, Donald Kalkhoff and Clarence Sporrer. Interment
was in the parish cemetery. The Ohde Funeral Home of Manning was in
charge of arrangements.
Attending the funeral were relatives and friends from. Spalding,
Neb.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Fort Dodge, Sutherland, LeMars, Paullina,
Carroll, Dedham, Guthrie Center, Manning, Halbur, Coon Rapids and the
local community.
