Former County Supervisor Dies, Templeton
Funeral Rites To Be on Friday For Gerhard Kettman
Templeton (HSN) - Gerhard Kettmann, former Carroll County
supervisor, died at his home here at 2 o'clock this morning, victim of a
stroke. He had been ill only twenty-four hours.
Funeral services are to be at 9:30 Friday morning at Sacred Heart
Church, of which Mr. Kettmann was a member. The Rt. Rev. Monsignor F. H.
Huesmann will officiate.
Mr. Kettmann had served as county supervisor from the years 1936
to 1939. He was a native of Germany, his birth occurring at Hanover Aug. 28, 1872.
Surviving are his wife, who was Catherine Ferneding before her
marriage and five children: Mrs. George Willenberg, of near Dedham; Mrs.
Ben Willenberg and Mrs. William Kalkhoff, near Templeton; Anna and
George Kettmann, at home.
He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Barney Heithoff of Carroll and
Mrs. Joe Heithoff of Cedar Rapids, Neb.
One daughter, Emma, died Jan. 27, 1923. He was also preceded in
death by two brothers, Henry Kettmann and the Rev. Bernard Kettmann, and
one sister, Mrs. Mary Derterman.
