Ruth Lantz
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Lantz, 79, of Alexis were held
at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Hoover Memorial Chapel, Alexis.
The Rev. Ed Pratt, pastor of Alexis Presbyterian Church, officiated.
Burial was in Alexis Cemetery.
Memorials were made to the Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
Mrs. Lantz died Sunday, May 6, 1984 at St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg.
The former Ruth Snodgrass was born Dec. 5, 1904, in Kirkwood,
daughter of Frank and Almira Carns Snodgrass.
On Dec. 20, 1923, she was married to Russell Lantz. He died in 1967.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Paul Morris of Knoxville,
Ill., Mrs. Wayne Anderson of Viola, Mrs. Rod Kirman of Galesburg, Mrs.
James Rose of East Peoria and Mrs. William Taylor of Alpha; 30
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Delford Putney of
Cassville, Wis.; and a brother, R.E. Snodgrass of Monmouth.
