Christian Larson

Died

Christian Larson, a well known resident of Corning, died Monday evening at the age of 79 years. He had been living alone and had been gradually failing in health for some time and about four weeks ago was removed to the home of his son, Walter Larson, where his death occurred. Deceased was born in Denmark in 1825 and was married there. When he was forty-eight years old he came to this country, living at Maryville, Mo., a couple of years and removing to this county nearly thirty years ago. He lived in Lincoln township a number of years and then removed to Corning, where his home has been ever since. Of the children born to Mr. and Mrs. Larson five are still living-Walter Larson, sheriff of Adams county, Mrs. Sam McConkay of Corning, Mrs. Jake Peterson of Lincoln township, Mrs. Charles Stender of Keytesville, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Rogers of North Platte, Neb. All except the latter are here to attend the funeral. Mrs. Larson has been making her home with her daughter in Keytesville. The funeral will be held at the house this afternoon at 3 p. m. conducted by Rev. A. Y. Copp, and interment will be made in Walnut Grove cemetery.
