Lucille A. Larson
Lucille Angaleen (nee Taylor) Larson, daughter of Frank J. and
Lucille Helena (nee Donahue) Taylor was born Feb. 22, 1904, in Farragut,
Iowa, and entered into rest Sept. 8, 1986, at Bergan Mercy Hospital,
Omaha, Neb., at the age of 82.
Ange grew up in Omaha, Neb., where her father was a grain dealer
on the Omaha Grain Exchange. Ange attended Central High School and
Duchesne College, graduating in 1925. From 1925 to 1938 she was a
teacher for the Omaha Public Schools, teaching Physical Education and
then Fourth Grade at Franklin School.
Ange was united in marriage to Edward J. Larson Aug. 20, 1938. To
this union two children were born, Mary Lu and Edward J. Jr.
Mrs. Larson was active in the Literature and History Clubs of the
Business and Professional Women and served on the Corning Library Board
for many years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and an
honorary member of St. Anthony's Altar Society Guild.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Lucy; and one
brother, Francis who died at the age of four; and her husband Edward J. Larson.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lu of Omaha, Neb.,, her son
Edward and daughter-in-law Connie of Corning, Iowa; sister-in-law
Margaret Larson of Omaha, Neb.; three grandchildren Mark and wife Shelly
of Corning, Iowa; Robert and wife; Jerri of Omaha, Neb.; Mike of
Corning, Iowa, and three great-grandchildren Matthew, Adam and Kristin,
all of Corning, Iowa.
Rosary was Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at John A. Gentleman
Westside Chapel, Omaha, Neb., and was led by Father Dick Whiting of St.
Leo's Catholic Church, Omaha, Neb. Funeral services were held Wednesday,
Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Omaha, Neb., and
interment was at 3:30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Corning, Iowa, with
Father Dick Whiting, Omaha, Neb., and Father Fred Reischl, Corning,
Iowa, officiating.
Casket bearers in Omaha were Jim Eisenhardt, Thomas Finn, Keith
Molyneux, and her three grandsons Mark, Robert and Mike Larson. Casket
bearers at interment were Keith Molyneux, Jack Gadberry, Dr. John King
and her three grandsons Mark, Robert and Mike Larson.
A memorial has been established to the O.E.A. Foundation in Omaha, Neb.
