Augusta "Mae" Livingston
Services for Augusta "Mae" Livingston, 71, are 11
a.m. Thursday at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be
in National Cemetery, Rock Island.
Visitation is Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mae died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Rock Island, the daughter of Henry
and Anna (Titterington) Chambers. She married Charles ``Chuck''
Livingston on Nov. 3, 1962, in Rock Island. He died Jan. 18, 1995.
In her earlier years, Mrs. Livingston worked for Swan and Bonson,
Rock Island, and Struv's Restaurant. She enjoyed playing bingo at Sunset
Towers, Rock Island, and Bunko with her friends who were very special to
her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also
especially loved playing the guitar and singing for her many friends and family.
Survivors include daughters and a son-in-law, Terry Burkhardt,
Rock Island, and Sandy and Greg Kurutz, New Berlin, Wis.; sons and
daughters-in-law, Chuck and Debbie Mumma and Edward and Diane Mumma, all
of Rock Island; grandchildren, Susan Moore, Eric Zeb, Jessica, Steven
and Julia Mumma, Brian and Stacy Kurutz, and Dawn, Melinda and Bo
Burkhardt; stepgrandchildren, Bobbie, David and Katie Krohn; four
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by her parents; three sisters; and four brothers.
