Funeral Tuesday for Mrs. James F. Lowe
Mrs. James F. Lowe, 49, of seven miles southeast of Brighton,
died at 5:20 o'clock Saturday afternoon after a serious illness of two
weeks. She had suffered a stroke 18 months ago.
Funeral services will be held in St. James church here Tuesday
morning at 9 o'clock with Father R. J. Kinnavey in charge. Rosary
services will be held at the Jones funeral home tonight at 8 o'clock.
Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery.
Dorothea G. Swift was born Nov. 28, 1901, southeast of
Washington, She was the daughter of John T. and Jessie A Reeves Swift.
On Sept. 8, 1920, she was married to James F. Lowe who is among the survivors.
Mrs. Lowe was a member of the St. James Catholic church.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Raleigh Lowe of
Brighton; three grandchildren; three brothers, Pat Swift of Washington,
F. B. Swift of Davenport and James Swift of Jennings, Kansas; and one
sister, Mrs. Hazel Westen of Washington. One daughter preceded her in death.
