Antoinette 'Toni' Mack
Antoinette "Toni" E. Mack, 55, Coal Valley, died Wednesday,
Jan. 28, 2009, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Services for Ms. Mack will be noon on Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly
Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be two hours
prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be at
the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Preemption. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Trinity Pathway Hospice.
Toni was born Jan. 19, 1954, in Moline, the daughter of William M.
Mack and Bessy Teros Mack.
Ms. Mack graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s
degree in elementary education. She worked as a substitute teacher for
the Moline School District. Earlier Toni had worked for the Eagle Food
Stores for over 32 years. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed
watching Guy Lombardo and the Lawrence Welk Show on Saturday nights with her mother.
Survivors include her mother, Bessy Mack, Coal Valley; a sister,
Teresa A. Mack, Pinole, Calif.; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard J.
and Amy Mack, Moline; nieces and nephews, Elena Atkins, East Moline,
Renae Rodriguez, Michael Mack and Hannah Mack, all of Moline. Ms. Mack
was preceded in death by her father, William Mack.
Toni’s family would like to thank Dr. Constantinou and his staff,
especially Heather; and the staff at Trinity Pathway Hospice for the
loving care they showed her.
