Ed A. Mack Succumbs In Montana; Former Reynolds Resident

  Ed A. Mack, 77, formerly of near Reynolds, died Feb. 1, 1960, in a Great Falls, Mont., hospital, according to information which has reached Mercer county. Funeral services and burial took place at his home community of Lewistown, Mont.
  He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mack, of south of Reynolds, parents of eight sons and one daughter who reached adulthood. In 1910, Ed and his brother, Joe, went to Montana where they have since lived.
  Mr. Mack married in Montana and was the father of two sons, Gene, of Lewiston, and Francis, of Salem, Oregon. He is survived by his wife, both sons, a brother, Joe, and several grandchildren.

Ed A. Mack Dies At Great Falls

  Ed A. Mack 77, a Lewistown resident since 1911, died at Great Falls Monday after a long illness. Mac k was a pioneer insurance agent in Montana and maintained offices of the State Farm Mutual Insurance Co. until several years ago when he retired. Before entering the insurance business he had been a wheat rancher in the Lewistown area, and was well known for his civic leadership in the community.
  He was born June 23, 1882, at Preemption, Ill., the son of the late Daniel and Catherine Mack. He married the former Aroline Schippel at Mankato, Minn., on Jan. 1, 1913. After moving to Lewistown he became a member of the Knights of Columbus, Moose, Elks, and Eagles lodges.
  Survivors include his wife of Lewistown; two sons, Eugene S. Mack of Lewistown, Francis H. Mack of Salem, Ore.; a brother, Joseph C. Mack of Lewistown; and four grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be conducted from St. Leo’s Catholic Church Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Rosary will be recited at the Creel Funeral Home Wednesday at 7 p.m. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral services for Ed A. Mack were conducted at St. Leo’s Catholic Church this morning. Rosary was recited Wednesday evening at the Creel Funeral Home. Pallbearers were G. R. Willowoughby, George L. Chandler, M. A. Hickey and A.J. Kimpel. Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery.
