Joseph Mack Dies At 85 In Montana
Bert Mack of Viola has received word of the death of his
uncle, Joseph C. Mack, 85, of Lewistown, Mont., who died at St. Joseph's
hospital in Lewistown on Feb 16, 1966.
Mr. Mack was born July 29, 1880 in Preemption, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Dan Mack. He was a graduate of St. Ambrose College in Davenport.
He moved to Montana and farmed near Lewistown for several years.
He then moved into Lewistown and was associated with the Fergus Creamery
until his retirement.
The Rosary was recited at the Creel-Gurnette-Retz Chapel on Feb.
17 and Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Leo's Catholic Church at 9:45
a.m. on Feb. 18. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Mack was the last survivor of the 13 children of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel
Mack. Among the survivors are several nieces and nephews in Mercer and
Rock Island counties. |
