| Mrs. Nelle Mack
Viola -- Mrs. Nelle Mack, 85, of Viola, died at 8:05 this
morning at Oak View Nursing Home in Aledo, where she had been a patient
the last 15 months.
Funeral services are set tentatively for Thursday morning. The
Rosary will be recited at 8 tomorrow night at the Crummy Funeral Home in
Viola, where friends may call after 2 tomorrow afternoon.
The former Nelle Noonan was born April 10, 1882, in Millersburg
Township, a daughter of Timothy and Saran McGinn Noonan. She studied at
Immaculate Conception Academy in Davenport.
She was married to Thomas F. Mack, Sept. 30, 1902, in Keithsburg.
The couple farmed for many years in the Viola community where she had
resided for 66 years. She was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic
Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are a son, Bert L. Mack of Viola; a daughter, Sister
Mary Janela, BVM, of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Mosley of Davenport.
