Mrs. Margaret Mack
Margaret M. Kehoe, daughter of Miles and Julia Kehoe, was born
October 5, 1868 at Milan, Illinois, and passed away Tuesday morning,
February 8, 1949, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. F. McEniry in
Creston, Iowa. Mrs. Mack, who was 80 years, 4 months, and 3 days of age,
suffered a broken hip two years ago and has since been bedfast. She was
the last survivor of a family of nine children.
She was married to John W. Mack on January 3, 1890 in Rock Island,
Illinois. They made their home on a farm near Viola, Illinois. In 1896
the family came to Corning, where Mr. Mack was in the implement and
garage business. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 20, 1934.
The surviving children are Vincent and Lewis of Corning; Mrs. E. F.
McEniry of Creston; Mrs. Agnes Adamson of Santa Barbara, California; A.
K. (Bud) Mack of Chicago. Sixteen grandchildren and one great grandson
also survive, as well as a host of friends.
Mrs. Mack was a woman of great kindness and was always willing to be of
assistance to others. Her devotion to her family exemplified the true
Christian woman that she was. The community has lost a fine citizen in her passing.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning February 10, at 10 o'clock
from St. Patrick's Catholic Church, conducted by Rev. Father M. J.
Powers. Interment was made at Calvary Cemetery. Pall bearers were Robert
Mack, Francis Mack, Byron Mack, Arthur Marlatt, M. T. Jennings and Artie Keefe.

Cook of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. E. F. McEniry, Jean and Jo and Mr. and
Mrs. Eugene McCann, all of Creston; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Mack of Des
Moines; Mr. and Mrs. James P. Casey of Griswold.
