Raymond Mack
Funeral Services for Raymond Mack, 46, Viola were held at
10:30 a.m. Monday at the Crummy Funeral Home in Viola, and at 11 a.m. at
St. John's Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Slavish, pastor of
St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Alexis, officiated, and burial was
in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Preemption Township.
Mr. Mack died Friday afternoon, June 27, at his home following a
lengthy illness.
He was born March 24, 1929, in Rock Island, a son of Frank E. and
Margaret Engstrom Mack. He was educated in Viola schools, served in the
U.S. Navy in World War II and was later employed as a carpenter at
Erickson Construction Co. in Moline.
Mr. Mack was a member of St. John's Church, Matherville Eagle
Aerie 1029 and American Legion Post at Viola.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Margaret Mack of Viola, and a
brother, Frank J. of Rock Island.
Preceding him in death was his father.
