William P. Mack

Taylor Ridge, Ill., Jan 11  – William Patrick Mack, 66, who resided on a farm west of Taylor Ridge, died at 4:45 o’clock yesterday afternoon in St. Anthony’s hospital following a brief illness. He had entered the hospital yesterday.
  Mr. Mack was born March 6, 1876, in Preemption township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mack, and has spent his entire life in that vicinity. On Nov. 24, 1897, he wed Miss Mary Ellen McManus in St. Patrick’s church in Edgington.
  Surviving are the widow, a son, Joseph, Taylor Ridge; a sister, Miss Elizabeth Mack, Reynolds; four brothers, Thomas of Viola, Ed of Lewistown, Mont., and Joseph and Michael, both of Reynolds, and five grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.
  The body will be removed to the farm home at 4 o’clock this afternoon from the Wheelan funeral home, Rock Island. The rosary will be recited in the residence at 8 o’clock tomorrow night. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 10 a.m. and at 10:30 o’clock in St. Ambrose Church, Milan. The Rev. Daniel F. Monoghan will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

William Mack, prominent farmer of Taylor ridge, died at 4:30 in St. Anthony’s hospital, Sunday afternoon.

Brother Of Viola Man Dies Sunday
William Mack, 66, of Taylor Ridge, brother of Thos. F. Mack of Viola, passed away in the hospital at Rock Island Sunday afternoon. He was taken ill in the forenoon and removed to the hospital. Death was caused from complications. Funeral services were held from St. Ambrose church in Milan on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. and burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Relatives from here attended the funeral with the exception of Mr. Mack, who was suffering with a cold, and not able to go.
