Edwin Malone Jr.
Edwin C. Malone Jr., 65, formerly of Aledo, died Wednesday,
Sept. 18, 2002, at Riverpark Health Care Center, Rock Island.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Family Funeral Services, Aledo.
Burial is in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1937, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Edwin
and Theo Soenksen Malone Sr.
He was employed at the Quad City Times in the sales department
for 20 years. Prior to that he was an English and theater teacher at
Fairbury/Onarga High School.
Surviving are his father, Aledo; sister, Shirley Malone;
brothers, Norman Malone, Bettendorf, Gary Malone, Aledo, and Terry
Malone, Woodson, Ill.; and special friend and companion, Rita Miller,
Moline. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.
