| Daniel McCarthy Retire Perryton Farmer, Dies
Daniel McCarthy, 86, retired Perryton township farmer of 8
miles northeast of Aledo, died at 2 a.m. Saturday Aug. 6, 1955 at Happy
Haven Rest Home at Silvis where he had resided the past year.
Funeral services were at 9 o'clock Monday morning in St.
Catherine's Catholic Church, Aledo with the Rev. George Thompson,
assistant pastor, officiating. Interment was in St. Josephs' cemetery,
Preemption township.
Mr. McCarthy was born May 2, 1869 in Perryton township where he
resided until a year ago, a son of John and Honora Shanhan McCarthy. He
was the last surviving member of a family of eight children.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
