Funeral services for Mrs. Florence J. McCaw, 90, of
Preemption, were held Saturday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. at the Preemption
United Methodist Church under direction of the Reiser-Trimble Funeral
Home, Aledo. The Rev. Kent W. Trimble, pastor, and Mr. Robert E.
Carlson, former pastor, officiated. Burial was in Preemption Cemetery.
Memorials were made to the preemption United Methodist Church.
Mrs. McCaw died Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 12:55 p.m. at Moline
Lutheran Hospital.
The former Florence J. Morris was born July 9, 1894 in Viola, the
daughter of Edmund and Vashti Hubbard Morris.
She married Emery Cedric McCaw April 18, 1916. He died in March 1968.
She was a member of the Preemption United Methodist Church and
the United Methodist Women of the church.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty McCaw of
Preemption, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, sister,
and three brothers.
