Funeral Today for Mrs. E. F. McEniry
Funeral services for Mrs. E. F. (Marguerite) McEniry, 71, were
held at 8 a.m. today at St. Malachy's Catholic church here with Rev. Fr.
Patrick Bacon, Rev. Fr. John Cunningham and Rev. Fr. Otho Sullivan
conducting the funeral mass. Grandsons of Mrs. McEniry served as casket
bearers and honorary pallbearers were Thomas E. Mullin, William T.
McLaughlin, Neal McCann, J.L. McManus, Linus Moore and Donald Hogan.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. McEniry, wife of a retired Creston attorney, died at the
Greater Community hospital here at 3 p.m. Friday after a 10-month
illness. She had lived in Creston since 1921.

Mrs. E. McEniry Dies Here at 71
Mrs. E. F. (Marguerite) McEniry, 71, died at 3 p.m. Friday at
the Greater Community hospital here after a 10-month illness. She had
lived in Creston since 1921.
Mrs. McEniry lived at 300 south Lincoln street. Her husband is a
retired Creston attorney.
Funeral services for Mrs. McEniry will be held at 9 a.m. Monday
at St. Malachy’s Catholic church. Rev. Otho Sullivan, the pastor, will
officiate. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery. The Rosary will be said
at 3 and 8 p.m. Sunday at Coens Home for Funerals.
Marguerite Mack was born at Corning, Feb. 8, 1900. She was the
daughter of John and Margaret Kehoe Mack. She grew up in the Corning
community and lived there until her marriage, June 1, 1921, to Eugene F. McEniry.
Mrs. McEniry is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs.
William (Jean) Crandall of Afton, Mrs. Gene (Agnes) McCann of Creston,
Mrs. Thomas (Mary) Adams of Corvallis, Ore.; 15 grandchildren; a sister,
Mrs. Andrew Adamson of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and a brother, A. K. Mack
of Chicago, Ill. Mrs. McEniry was a member and a past grand regent of the Catholic
Daughters of America, a member of the St. Malachy’s Society, and a
member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
