Paul McKinley
ROCK ISLAND -- Paul W. McKinley, of Rock Island, died Thursday, May
19, 2005, from injuries received in an industrial accident in Elmhurst,
Ill. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2005, at the
Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery,
Moline. Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may
be given to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
Paul was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Moline, a son of John William and
Charmaine Leffel McKinley. He married Connie E. Mack, Sept. 29, 1979, in
Reynolds, Ill. Paul worked for John Deere Plow Planter in the
experimental department, MerRoc, Reynolds and currently was employed by
Taylor Ridge Drilled Foundations.
He was a former member of the Reynolds Volunteer Fire Department, Milan
Rifle Club, Rock Island Conservation Club and Pheasants Forever. Paul
enjoyed all aspects of life, especially hunting, fishing and playing
softball. He loved his family most of all.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; daughters, Angie Hubbard and her
husband, Ed, Greenville, S.C., and Amanda McKinley, and her fiancé,
Jeff Pickett, both of Rock Island; his mother, Charmaine McKinley,
Moline; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Dan Thorngren, Moline;
brother, Lane McKinley, Viola, Ill.; and nine nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Debi McKinley.
