Obituary

Miss Ella McManus

  Miss Ella McManus, aged 73, who had resided on the same farm near Preemption all her life, died in St. Anthony's hospital in Rock Island at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. She had been ill 10 weeks. She was born Nov. 11, 1867, on a farm three and a quarter miles southwest of Preemption and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.
  Surviving are one sister, Mary, at home, and a brother, Patrick, of Taylor Ridge.
  Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church southwest of Preemption Friday morning and burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
