Frank
In St. Joseph's Catholic church, Rock Island, funeral services
for Frank L. McManus, age 83, were held on Tuesday morning. Burial was
made in Calvary cemetery. The pallbearers were Charles Conway, Bert
Horan, M. H. Mack, Guy Boyles, John Kelleher and Ward Moffitt.
After a month's illness Mr. McManus died at 10:30 a. m. on June
26 at his home in Rock Island where he had moved three years ago from
his farm southeast of Reynolds.
Born July 14, 1864, in Preemption he was married in February,
1902 to Hermina Steinhauer. He was a member of St. Joseph's church,
Preemption, and was a well known farmer of that town.
Surviving relatives are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Barnes;
three sons, LeRoy, Lawrence and Marcus; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Mack;
a brother John; and nine grandchildren.
