| Mrs. Thos. Meehan Buried In Manilla On Last Monday
Committal service for Mrs. Margaret Reilly Meehan, of Friend,
Nebr. widow of the late Thos Meehan, were held at the Manilla Catholic
cemetery, Monday at 5 o'clock, Rev. J. J. Hyland officiated.
Mrs. Meehan was about 62 years of age and died Friday at the
hospital in Sidney, Neb. She had been ill several months and her death
was the result of complications following an operation last summer.
She was married to Thos. Meehan in 1913 at Friend, Nebr. and they
lived for a time at Denison later retuning to Friend to make their home.
She was a sister-in-law of Mrs. P. J. Lally of Manilla. Funeral services
were held at the Catholic church in Friend at 9 o'clock Monday morning
and the funeral cortege arrived in Manilla during the afternoon.
Pallbearers were nephews and cousins of the deceased, Dr. Morelle
Houlihan of Ida Grove, Raphael Welch, Vail, John Meehan and Robert
Burke, of Denison, and Earl Hickey and Adrain Lally, of Manilla.
Relatives here from a distance besides those from Denison, Vail,
Ida Grove and Schleswig, were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Sullivan and son, Riley,
and Harry Reilly, of Yuma, Colo. and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Reilly Fremont, Nebr.
