| Mrs. Violet Meyers
Funeral services for Mrs. Violet L. Meyer, 61, of Port Richey,
Fla., former Davenport resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the
Runge Chapel, Davenport. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 o'clock this
evening, Wednesday.
Mrs. Meyer died Sunday, April 20, in Mese Hospital, Clearwater, Fla.
The former Violet L. Weeks was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Mercer
County, a daughter of Charles and Mary Close Weeks. She was married to
Kenneth C. Meyer on Jan. 22, 1949, in Davenport.
Surviving is her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Andrews of
Bettendorf, Ia.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn
Rhodenbaugh of Ocala, Fla. and Mrs. Dorothy Leng of Aledo; and three
brothers, David of Atlanta, Ga., Howard of Milan and Kenneth of Aledo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
