Keith F. Miller
Funeral services for Keith F. Miller, 84, of Joy, were held at
1 p.m. today, Wednesday, in the Reiser Funeral Chapel, Aledo. Burial was
in the Peniel Cemetery near Joy.
The Rev. Mike Jones, pastor of the Westmer Larger Parish, officiated.
Memorials were made to the American Heart Association.
He was born May 24, 1896, in Fillmore, IL., a son of William H.
and Lillie Knowles Miller. He attended schools there.
On Sept. 19, 1920, he married Irma Searl in New Boston. The
couple farmed north of Joy for many years. He later was employed as a
substitute rural mail carrier in Joy and also served four terms as
assessor for Millersburg Township.
Mr. Miller was of Lutheran faith. He was a veteran of World War I
and a charter member of the Mercer County VFW Post 1571.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Ethel Feh Miller and Mrs.
Lois Hudson, both of Moline; a son, Keith, Jr., of Milan; two
grandchildren; a brother, Lewy Miller of Huntington Beach, Calif., and a
sister, Mrs. Ethel Ypsen of Pennington, N.J.
