| Mrs. Ervin Montgomery
Funeral services for Mrs. Ervin Montgomery, 63, of Ophiem,
were held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in the Kirk and Huggins Funeral
Home, Orion. The Rev. Charles Sampson, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church,
Ophiem, officiated and burial was in the Western Cemetery, Orion.
Mrs. Montgomery died Saturday evening at Moline Public Hospital.
The former Leona Hull was born May 8, 1916, in Kirkwood, daughter
of George and Flora Berry Hull. She was reared and received her
education there and was married to Ervin Montgomery on Jan. 8, 1938 in Burlington, Ia.
She was of Protestant faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Dale
Phillis of Alpha and Mrs. Dale Jordan of Sherrard; four sons, Derold of
Ophiem, Clifford of Alpha, Bill of Orion and Michael of Ophiem; 11
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dale, Howard
and Raymond, all of Monmouth and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Burland of
Joliet and Mrs. Ann Sunberg of Alton.
