Onnie Moore

Mrs. Onnie Moore died at her home in Corning, Sunday morning, October 11, 1908, at 8:30 o'clock, aged 77 years, 5 months and 16 days. The funeral services were held yesterday at the St. Patricks church at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Father Dollard, and interment was made in Calvary cemetery beside her husband. Mrs. Moore was born in Queens county, Ireland, April 25, 1831 and came to this country twenty years later. She was married to John L. Moore in Kewanee, Ill., two years after coming to America and to this union were born five children: three boys, William Moore of Kansas City, Robert and John Moore of Corning, and two girls, Mrs. T. B. Fisher, of Corning, and Miss Maggie Moore who died about twenty-five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Moore with their family came to Adams county in 1871 and this was their home until the time of their death, Mr. Moore having preceded his wife in death eight years ago last February. Beside the four children, the only near living relative of Mrs. Moore, is a sister in Kewanee, Illinois, she being the last of a family of eleven children. The relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. Maggie Kirley, Mrs. Mary Carney and Mrs. Lizzie Conlisk, from Kewanee, Illinois; Mrs. Dan Moore and Miss Julia Moore, from St. Joseph, Missouri; William Moore, a son of the deceased, and wife, of Kansas City.. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrow.
