Louise Reinart Morisak
Services for Louise Reinart Morisak are pending with the Geo.
J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Louise Reinart Morisak, lifelong resident of Cooke County, passed
away on March 29, 2007, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving
family. She had recently celebrated her 90th birthday on October 29,
2006, with a joyful gathering of her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren. Each family member contributed cards, letters,
pictures and personal anecdotes, which were assembled into a scrapbook
filled with precious memories dedicated to Louise. She will be sorely
missed by the many people she touched in her long and caring lifetime.
Louise Reinart was born in Lindsay, Texas, on October 29, 1916.
She lived on the family farm west of Lindsay until her marriage to
Alfred Morisak on July 4, 1944. Alfred and Louise moved to Gainesville
after his discharge from the Army. Louise lived in the house she and
Alfred bought for over 50 years. It was the site of many happy and
family-filled Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations. Louise became the
matriarch of both the Reinart and Morisak families, offering warm
hospitality and delicious home-cooking to all who entered her house.
Louise and Alfred were blessed with three children, Roy, Carol Ann and
Mary. They were happily married for almost 23 years until Alfred’s
untimely death in 1967. Louise never remarried, instead dedicating
herself to her family, church community and friends.
Louise was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church,
attending daily Mass, baking bread to auction at the annual Fall
Festival, and supporting St. Mary’s Catholic School. Besides her
family and friends, Louise especially enjoyed traveling and attending
and conducting garage sales. Her proficiency as a savvy business woman
and excellent appriaser of “treasures” found at garage sales was
well known. Louise will also be fondly remembered by the many children
she babysat who affectionately called her “Morisak”. She spent her
life caring for others and living her faith.
Louise spent the last few years living near her family in Flower
Mound, Texas. She remained remarkably healthy, enjoying her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren, game shows and playing cards with
friends. Louise delighted in each new baby born into her family and was
proud of every one of them. She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Roy and Judy Morisak of Flower Mound and grandchildren,
Gene and Nancy Morisak, Kim Morisak, Tina and John Montegudo, and Matt
and Cindy Morisak. Also surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Carl Ann
and Rick Sanders of Denton and grandchildren, Michael and Tammy
Schneider, Suzanne Schneider and Amy and Joey Johnson. Louise is also
survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Tom Henscheid of Arlington
and grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel and Katherine Henscheid. Louise was
blessed with 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Louise is her
brother, Doc Reinart of Muenster, several nieces and nephews and many
loving friends and neighbors.
