William Moseley

  William Moseley, son of the late Richard and Mary Moseley, passed assay at a hospital in East Moline on Friday, Aug. 25, after an extended illness. A complete obituary will be found in the New Boston items of this week's issue.

  William Moseley died Friday, Aug. 25, 1933, at a hospital in the tri-cities. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:30 at the chapel of the Little Flower of Jesus in New Boston. Father Swinburne officiated, reading the requiem high mass. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery at Keithsburg. The pallbearers were chosen by Mr. Moseley before he died. They were: James and John Welch and Mike Dacy of New Boston; Frank Willits and Bob Henderson of Keithsburg and Lawrence Moseley of Rock Island.
  Mr. Moseley was born Jan. 17, 1874 at the family home near Mannon. He was the son of Richard and Mary Cassin Moseley. He was united in marriage Nov. 17, 1896, to Mary J. Noonan, daughter of Timothy and Sarah Noonan. To this marriage four children were born, two of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are: Mrs. Leador Lyons, wife of R. F. Lyons and J. Richard Moseley of Rock Island. Mr. Moseley leaves besides his wife and two children, a sister, Mrs. Fred Crapnell of Aledo and four grandchildren, Mary Elaine Lyons, Marjorie Ann Lyons, Leslie Leador Lyons and James Francis Lyons.
  Mr. Moseley was noted for his genial disposition and had many friends both among the young and old wherever he went.
