Mrs. Fred Mosman
Mrs. Fred (Anna) Mosman, 66, died about 11 p.m. Wednesday,
Jan. 13 at St. Anthony Hospital.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday. The
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday by members of the Rosary and
Altar Society of SS. Peter and Paul parish; at 8 p.m. Friday, led by the
Rt. Rev. Msgr. F. H. Greteman; and at 8:30 p.m. Friday by members of
Court St. Rose of Lima No. 6, Catholic Daughters of America, in a body,
with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. P. T. Lynch leading.
Requiem mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, a t SS.
Peter and Paul Church, with Msgr. Greteman officiating. Burial will be
in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Mosman entered the hospital Dec. 9 and was a patient until
Jan. 3, when she returned to her home at 332 North Lincoln. She
reentered the hospital Jan. 11.
She was born at Maple River Nov. 25, 1893, a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Vorsten. She married Fred Mosman Nov. 11, 1913, at SS. Peter
and Paul Church, with the late Rev. Fr. Kuemper officiating. Mr. and
Mrs. Mosman have made their home in Carroll since their marriage. Mrs.
Mosman was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church; the Rosary and Altar
Society of the parish; Court St. Rose of Lima No. 6, Catholic Daughters
of America; and a prayer member of the Legion of Mary.
Surviving besides her husband are the following children:
Marcellus (Jack) Mosman, Lynnwood, Calif.; Mrs. Jess (Aldura) Allen,
Redding, Calif.; Mrs. LuVern (Modesta) Olberding, Mrs. Earl (Phyllis)
Schrad, Oliver ("Bud") Mosman, Mrs. Melvin (Marilyn) Leiting,
all of Carroll; Daryl Mosman, at home; Mrs. James (Joyce) Englehaupt,
San Jose, Calif.; and Robert Mosman, U.S. Navy, San Diego, Calif. Also
surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Ray Caywood, Glidden, and Mrs. Joe
Alexander, Ames; two brothers, Tony Vorsten, Carroll, and Lawrence
Vorsten, Jane, Mo.; and 36 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were five children: Lucille, Evelyn,
Maxine, Darwin and Lowell; one brother, Al Vorsten; and one grandson.
