Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Mosman
Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Mosman, 83, of 410 West Thirteenth
street, died Friday, March 25, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.
Tuesday, March 29, at St. Lawrence church with the Rev. Lawrence McCarty
as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. Serving as
casketbearers will be Jim Mosman, Robert Wieland, Erv Pudenz, Chris
Mosman, Tom Gronstal and Curt Mosman.
Visitation at the Twit Funeral Home in Carroll will be after 2:30
p.m. Monday. Rosaries will be recited at 3 (Legion of Mary) and 8 p.m. on Monday.
Mrs. Mosman is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Dwight (Lorraine)
Doherty, Knoxville, Iowa, and Mrs. D. J. (Olive) Boom, San Bernardino,
Calif.; four sons: Arden, Carroll; Ronald, Boone; Lon, Carroll, and Don,
Glendora, Calif.; a sister, Marie Stark, Carroll; two brothers: Joe Reck,
Illinois, and George Reck, Arizona; 21 grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, on October
26,1976; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Ruth) Kruse; a son Don in infancy, a
son, Richard G. Mosman, a sister, Anna Rittner, brothers Peter and
William, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Mosman was born September 30, 1899, at Halbur, a daughter of
Michael and Lena Reinart Reck. She was married to Joseph H. Mosman on
April 25, 1925, at St. Joseph church. She was a member of St. Lawrence
church, the St. Lawrence choir and the Legion of Mary.
