Obituary

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning April 21, 1956 at 9:30 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church in Keithsburg for Melvin Mumey, 29, of 402 Hancock St., Peoria, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident two and half miles east of Oquawka Thursday morning. Services were conducted by the Rev. John Hecht and burial was made in the Keithsburg cemetery.
  Melvin Mumey was born in Bald Bluff township Nov. 15, 1926 the son of Peter and Grace Thomas Mumey. He was one of a family of 10 children and is survived by his parents and five brothers and sisters.
