Albert Neppl
Halbur - Albert Neppl, 71, of Halbur died at 12:40 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. He had
been in failing health since April.
Mass of the resurrection was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday in
St. Augustine Church here, with the Rev. Leo Riesberg officiating and
interment in the parish cemetery. The Twit Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Neppl worked at the Farmers Co-op at Halbur and was in the
trucking business from 1927 to 1973. He was born May 2, 1904, a son of
Frank and Anna Halbur Neppl. On Feb. 7, 1927, he married Anna Renze at
Holy Angels Church, Roselle, with the late Rev. Louis Anthofer
officiating at the ceremony. He was a member of St. Augustine Church and
Holy Name Society, the Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus. He held
an 11-year perfect attendance record in Kiwanis.
Surviving are his wife; two children, Mrs. John (Alice) Eischeid
of Carroll and Lawrence of Halbur; seven grandchildren; three sisters,
Mrs. Al Tiefenthaler and Sr. Lavina of Carroll and Mrs. Roy Feld of
Milwaukee, Wis.; and three brothers, Alonzo Neppl of Halbur, Ben Neppl
of Carroll and Walter Neppl of Chatham, N.J.
Mr. Neppl was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence
Heinrichs and Mrs. Lester Eatinger; two brothers, Clarence and Lawrence
Neppl; and a granddaughter, Anne Marie Neppl.
