Donald Nestrick
Donald E. Nestrick, 77, of Quincy, Ill., formerly of Barry, Ill.,
died Friday Aug. 19, 2005, at the Illinois Veterans Home, Quincy.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. today at Niebur Funeral Chapel,
Barry, with the Rev. Greg Maize officiating. Burial is in Kinderhook
Cemetery, Kinderhook, Ill. A lunch for family and friends will be after
services today at the church. Memorials are suggested to United Baptist
Church in Kinderhook or Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. Condolences

Born Aug. 15, 1928, in Kinderhook, he was a son of Harold L. and
Phila Chamberlain Nestrick. He married Betty Mummey June 6, 1951, in
Plainville, Ill., and she survives.
Mr. Nestrick served his country in the U.S. Navy after World War
II. He was a sales manager for Moorman Manufacturing in Quincy and also
was an auctioneer.
He was a member of United Baptist Church in Kinderhook and the
Illinois Auctioneers Association. He also served as a trustee at Judson
College in Elgin, Ill., and as trustee of the American Baptist Churches.
Mr. Nestrick was a member of WINSOM and was very active in the Adams
County Republican Party and was a precinct committeeman.
Survivors include his mother, Phila Nestrick, Quincy; his wife,
Betty, Quincy; two sons, Gary (wife Renee) Nestrick, Sharpsburg, Ga.,
and Richard Nestrick, Normal, Ill.; three daughters (and husbands),
Linda (Kevin) Conway, Sherrard, Beth (Charles) Louck, Bloomington, Ill.,
and Marsha (Randy) Marshall, Jerseyville, Ill.; two sisters, Kathy
Hollis, Barry, and Marianna Mellon, Quincy; 14 grandchildren; one
stepgranddaughter; and three great-grandsons. Mr. Nestrick was preceded
in death by his father; a brother, Harold Nestrick; and a
daughter-in-law, Cherie Nestrick.
