| O'Dea Services for John O'Dea were
conducted Monday in St. Catherine's church in Aledo. Solemn requiem high
mass was celebrated by his son, Rev. Joseph O'Dea of Streator.
Bert Horan, Martin Horan, Joseph Barnes, Bert Mack, Bernard
Brennan and Francis Ryan were the pallbearers. Internment was made in
St. Joseph's cemetery, Preemption.
Mr. O'Dea passed away in Mercy Hospital, Davenport, last Friday,
June 18, after a prolonged illness.
Survivors are his daughters, Gerarda, at home, Sister Mary
Jeananne of Davenport and Sister Mary Annelle of Rock Island; and a son,
Rev. Joseph O'Dea of Streator. His wife passed away several years
