Services Held Monday for Mrs. Edward O'Hearn of Aledo.
Mrs. Edward O'Hearn, 50 years old, died at her home in Aledo
at 4:30 Monday morning after an illness of seven months.
Mrs. O'Hearn was formerly Miss Katherine Doud, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Doud. She was born about two miles north of Aledo and
lived most of the time in this county.
She was married in November 1909, to Edward O'Hearn. For the last
17 years they resided in Aledo, where she was a member of St.
Catherine's Catholic church.
Surviving are the widower; two daughters, Miss Louise and Miss
Lucille, and a son, Ovid, of Aledo; her mother, Mrs. Mary Doud of Aledo;
six sisters, Mrs. Ella Bird, Mrs. Joseph Barnes, Mrs. Warren Ray, Miss
Elizabeth and Miss Florence of Aledo and Mrs. Riley Fender of Alexis;
and three brothers, Jas. of Prairie City, and Dan and William of Aledo.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in
St. Catherine's church in Aledo with Rev. John T. Shields, officiating.
Burial was made in Keithsburg and short services were held there at 11 o'clock.
