Mary Lou Penza

  Mary Lou Penza, 78, of Jacksonville died Tuesday morning, March 8, 2005 at Barton W. Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville. She was born March 3, 1927 in Virginia, IL the daughter of Horace and Mary Hamilton Clark. She married Vincent DePaul Penza on June 17, 1947 in Virginia, IL and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1999.
  She is survived by one son, Mark Penza of San Luis Obispo, CA; 3 daughters, Terese Penza of Vernon Hills, Elizabeth (husband, James) Monk of Ponchatoula, LA and Kathryn (husband, Mark) Thompson of Jacksonville; 9 grandchildren, Justin Michael Penza, Arian Marie Macari, Tabatha Monk, Cassy Hughes, Brandon Monk, Tara Hughes, Seth Hughes, Joshua Monk and Nicholas Thompson; 4 great-grandchildren, Miranda Alexis Macari, Molly Ann Macari, Ty Anthony Monk and Abigail Lynn Monk; one brother, John Maston (wife, Lois) Clark of rural Jacksonville; one sister, Ruby Clark (husband, Nelson) Willingham of Paris, MO.
  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lou Penza and two brothers, Robert Donald (surviving wife, Roberta of Urbana) Clark and Ralph Landis Clark. Mrs. Penza was a homemaker.
  She was member of the Church of Our Saviour and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville with burial at Calvary Cemetery. The family to meet friends following a 5:45 p.m. prayer service until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home (Jacksonville, IL). Memorials are suggested to the Rev. James Caldwell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
