Erwin Peterson
Funeral services for Erwin H. Peterson, 77, of Woodhull, were
held this afternoon, Wednesday, in the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral
Home, Woodhull. The Rev. David Miley, pastor of the Bethany Lutheran
Church officiated and burial was in the New Windsor Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Woodhull Legion or the American
Cancer Society.
Mr. Peterson died Monday, Jan. 5, in his home.
He was born Oct. 14, 1913, near New Windsor, the son of Arthur
and Amelia Sanquist Peterson. He married Eunice Bredburg on March 30,
1929, in Aledo.
In 1959 he retired as section foreman for the CB&Q Railroad
where he had been employed for 43 years.
Mr. Peterson was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and the
New Windsor Sportsmans Club.
Surviving are his wife; two brothers, John W. Peterson and Fred,
both of New Windsor; five sisters, Mrs. Hazel Monson of New Windsor,
Mrs. Marie Tschappat and Mrs. Bernice Riddell, both of Aledo, Mrs. Agnes
Beard of East Moline and Mrs. Edna Riddell of Moline.
