Glen C. Phillips
Glen Clarence Phillips, 68, of 213 Northwest A. St.,
Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away January 24, 1980 in the Washington
Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas. The son of Fred and
Emma Young Phillips, he was born February 12, 1911, in Adams County, Iowa.
He was reared and educated in Iowa, was a graduate of the Coyne
Electrical School in Chicago, Ill. He moved with his family to
Bentonville, Ark. in 1944. He established a refrigerator and electrical
service and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Ryerson Phillips; two
sons, Richard F. "Dick" Phillips of Bartlesville, Okla. and
James G. "…" Phillips of Springdale; a sister, Mrs. Gladys
Hill of Colorado Springs, Colorado and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 26 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of
Burns Funeral Home, Bentonville, with the Rev. Dean Mann and the Rev.
Joel Sweat officiating. Burial was in the Bentonville Cemetery.
