Karma L. Pietig

Carroll

  Mass of the Christian burial for Karma L. Pietig of Carroll will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll.
  Mrs. Pietig, 61, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
  The Rev. Timothy Schott will preside at the Mass. Lector will be DeAnne Wolterman. Gift bearers will be Saige Pietig, Christy Theulen, Kelly Theulen, Emma Frank, Tiffany Theulen, Amber Stark, Drea Grossman, Meredith Grossman, Tori Grossman, Chandler Grossman and Brianna Houlihan. Pianist will be Paula Theulen. Soloists will be Kim Theulen and Matt Reicks. Eucharistic ministers will be Randy Theulen, Bob Theulen Jr. and Sandy Theulen.
  Casket bearers will be Bobby Theulen III, Colton Theulen, Keith Grossman, Chad Grossman, Chris Gross-man, Trevor Theulen, Tony Theulen, Taylor Theulen, Jeremy Theulen and Cris Houlihan.
  Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery at Carroll.
  Visitation started at 3:30 and a rosary was prayed at 4 this afternoon at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. St. Lawrence Parish will hold a Christian wake service at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
  A daughter of Robert Sr. and Louise (Heim) Theulen, she was born Oct. 24, 1946, at Carroll, spent her younger years in the Auburn community, attended Auburn Elementary School and graduated from St. Ber-nard High School at Breda in 1964.
  She and Ronald Pietig were married June 3, 1967, at St. Mary Church in Auburn.
  The Pietigs farmed southwest of Carroll. They moved into Carroll in 2000.
  Mrs. Pietig worked at New Hope Village, St. Anthony Nursing Home and Mallard View. She had been a teacher's associate at Carroll Community Schools since 2004.
  She was active in the Alzheimer's Association and chaired the annual Memory Walk, and formerly volunteered with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H. She received the Chamber of Commerce Friendly Award in 1996 and was named St. Anthony Hospital Employee of the Year in 1987.
  Survivors include her husband, Ronald, of Carroll; three sons: Tim Pietig and wife Deb of Carroll, Jeff Pietig of Carroll and Scott Pietig and wife Kim of Carroll; a granddaughter, Saige Pietig; a sister, Kathy Grossman, and her husband, Dan, of Carroll; three brothers: Bob Theulen Jr. and wife Sandy of Auburn, Randy Theulen and wife Cheri of Halbur and Rodney Theulen and wife Paula of Carroll.
  Mrs. Pietig was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Jennifer Theulen.
