William H. Pietig
William H. Pietig, 50, of Route 2, Carroll, died unexpectedly
about 7 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. Requiem
mass was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church, Lidderdale, with
the Rev. Jerome A. Degen officiating and interment in the parish
cemetery. The Twit Funeral Home of Carroll was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pietig, a farmer, was born at Carroll Oct. 13, 1922, son of
William Joseph and Rose Kerkhoff Pietig. He received his education at
Carroll. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 273, Holy Family Church and
the Holy Name Society of the parish.
Surviving are his mother, with whom he lived; two sisters, Mrs.
Louis (Angie) Tigges of Glidden and Mrs. Cyril (Lucille) Brinker of
Breda; four brothers, Wayne Pietig of Santa Cruz, Calif., Ray Pietig of
Omaha, Neb.; Franklin and Ed Pietig of Carroll; also several nieces and
nephews. His father preceded him in death.
