Isabel Presnell
Mass of the Christian burial for Isabel Presnell of Carroll
will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.
Mrs. Presnell, 93, died today, Oct. 17, 2001, at St. Anthony
Regional Hospital in Carroll.
The Revs. James McCormick, Sunny Dominic and Siby Punnose will
officiate and burial will be at 3 p.m. at Scranton Cemetery in Scranton.
Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at
3 Thursday at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. A vigil service will be held
at 7:30 Thursday at the funeral home.
The casket will be moved to the church at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
A daughter of Joe and Katie (Olbertz) Reinart, she was born Dec.
27, 1907, at Halbur. She moved with her family in 1912 to Carroll, then
graduated from St. Angela's Academy in 1925.
She and Wade Presnell were married on Sept. 9, 1929, by Rev.
Lambert Schenkelberg at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll.
She lived In Scranton for 63 years until moving to Carroll in
1992, and most recently she resided at the Swan House.
Mrs. Presnell was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and belonged to
many bridge card clubs,
Survivors include a daughter Joan Trobak and her husband, Neil,
of Carroll; a son, James Presnell of Carroll; seven grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Lucille
Davis of Omaha, Neb., Alita Snyder of Breda and Lucinda Ocken of
Plantation, Fla.; and two brothers, Eugene Reinart of Davenport and Art
Reinart of Carroll.
Mrs. Presnell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wade in
1977; a sister,
Viola Schleisman; a brother, LeRoy Reinart; a son-in-law, Paul Happe;
and a grandson, James W. Happe.
