Death of George Quinn.
Died Last Evening at 8 o'Clock, after a Long Illness-Funeral
Monday Morning at 9 o'Clock.
Last evening at 8 o'clock occurred the death of George Quinn,
at his home, in northwest Washington. He had been in ill health for
several years, but his recent illness began last February, and since
that time he gradually grew worse until his death.
George Thomas Quinn was born near Clifton, Iowa, in February,
1872. At the age of four years he moved with his parents to this county,
and most of his life was spent in the vicinity of Washington. He learned
the barber trade when comparatively young, and worked at this profession
for a number of years, always being of an industrious nature and anxious
to be busy at all times. Of the immediate family, his father and mother
and a son, William, survive; also two brothers, John Quinn, of St.
Louis, and William Quinn, of West Chester and three sisters, Elizabeth
Quinn, at home, Teresa Quinn, of Tacoma, Washington, and Molly Quinn, of
St. Louis. Two brothers, James and Thomas, and two sisters, Agnes and
Nellie, are dead. The deceased was a member of the Catholic church.
The funeral will be held from the Catholic church Monday morning
at 9 o'clock. Interment in Elm Grove cemetery.
