| Emil Redman
Funeral services for Emil C. Redman, 81, of rural Sherrard,
were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Larson Funeral Home,
Milan. The Rev. Claude Moreland, pastor of First Baptist Church, Aledo,
officiated. Burial was in Cable Cemetery.
Memorials were made to the Cable Cemetery Association.
Mr. Redman died Sunday morning, June 19 at Franciscan Medical
Center, Rock Island.
Mr. Redman was born Nov. 25, 1901, in Colona, the son of Gusta
and Augusta Redman. He lived in East Moline and Taylor Ridge prior to
moving to Sherrard in 1940.
He married Jennie M. Van Loo July 25, 1925, in rock Island. She
died March 2, 1978.
Mr. Redman was a farmer.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Philip H. Benton of rural
Sherrard, and Mrs. Mary J. Selman of Oak Grove; 14 grandchildren,
including Larry D. Redman of Rock Island, who was raised by his
grandparents; and 10 great grandchildren.
