Funeral services for Rosella Reiff Set for Monday
Funeral services for Rosella Gertrude Reiff, who died, early
yesterday afternoon at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Bernard Dobberstein, are to be at 9 o'clock Monday morning at
St. Lawrence church, of which she was a member.
The Rev. Father Arthur S. Poeckes will offer the requiem mass.
Burial will be in the family lot in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel cemetery.
The body is remaining at the Sharp Funeral home until 10 o'clock
Sunday morning, when it will be taken to the home of Miss Reiff's
mother, Mrs. Mary Reiff.

The rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Friday
and Saturday nights and at Mrs. Reiff's home at 8 o'clock Sunday
evening, led by the Rev. Father Poeckes.

For the past ten years Miss Reiff had been employed as a public
accountant with the Farm Credit Administration. During most of that time
she had worked in Washington, D. C, although she was sent to Kansas City
in the war years. After the war she was re-assigned to Washington.
Came Home Dec. 3
She underwent surgery in Washington the middle of November and
came to the Dobberstein home here December 3.
Miss Reiff, daughter of Mrs. Mary Reiff and the late Henry Reiff,
was born March 11, 1910, at Mt. Carmel.

She was an alumna of St. Angela academy, having graduated with
the class of 1928. She took a secretarial course at the American
Institute of Business, Des Moines. She was also graduated from the
University of Kansas City June 4, 1944.

She belonged to Alpha Iota, a national business women's sorority.
She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters Court at Ames.
Survivors
Besides her mother, Miss Reiff leaves two sisters and four
brothers: Albert Reiff (Fonda); Mrs. Wendell Reiling (Emma), Junction
City, Kan.; Louis, Robert and Edward Reiff and Mrs. Dobberstein (Hilda), Carroll.
Her father died November 15, 1931.

Final Rites Held For Miss Reiff Early Yesterday
Final rites were held at St. Lawrence church at 9 o'clock
yesterday morning for Rosella Gertrude Reiff, who died at the home of
her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dobberstein,
Thursday afternoon. The requiem mass was offered by the pastor, the Rev.
Father Arthur S. Poeckes.
Alta boys, friends of Miss Reiff were Robert and George Marget, Alfred
Heires, Mark Polking and Robert Frank.
Burial was in the family lot in the Mount Carmel cemetery, with
the Rev. Father P. M. Sturm officiating at the graveside rites.
Pallbearers, nephews of the deceased, were Albert Reiling, Lake
View; Harold Reiling and Don Reiff, Fonda; Bernard Dobberstein, jr., Ray
Reiff and Alvin Reiff, Carroll.
Among relatives and friends from away at the services were: Mr.
and Mrs. W. J. Reiling, Junction City, Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. Pat Garrahy
and son and Mrs. Helen Gerardy, Fairbanks, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Steve
Reiff, Manilla; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reiling, Lake View; Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Reiff and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reiling, Fonda; Mr. and Mrs. Matt
Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Feldman, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Snyder, Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Reiff and Frances and Helen Reiff, Breda.
There were also many others from the surrounding community.
