Mrs. Reinart, 68, Dies; Funeral To Be On Thursday
Mrs. Joe Reinart, 68, a lifelong resident of Carroll county,
died at 1:35 yesterday afternoon at St. Anthony hospital. Mrs. Reinart
had been in poor health about two years, but her condition had been
serious for only the last several days. She had been taken to the
hospital Friday.
Funeral services are set for 9 a. m. Thursday at SS. Peter and
Paul's church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The body is resting at the Olerich Funeral home, where the rosary
will be prayed at 8 o'clock each night before the final rites.
Mrs. Reinart, a daughter of Peter and Anna Olbertz, Carroll
county pioneers, was born Kate Olbertz, January 4, 1881, at Mt. Carmel
… schooling.
At the age of 16 years she came to Carroll. With the exception of
seven years at Halbur, she had lived in Carroll or the immediate
vicinity since then.
She married Mr. Reinart October 25, 1904, at SS. Peter and Paul's
church. The couple located at Halbur, where they lived until 1911. At
that time they moved into the present home on a farm south of the
Carroll city limits.
Mrs. Reinart was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's church and the
Christian Mothers sodality of the parish.
Surviving with her husband are five daughters and three sons:
Mrs. Douglas Schleisman (Viola), Carroll; Mrs. Wade Presnell (Isabel),
Scranton; Eugene Reinart, Leon; LeRoy Reinart, Storm Lake; Arthur
Reinart, Carroll; Mrs. H. L. Davis (Lucille), Omaha; Mrs. Edgar Snyder (Alita),
Breda, and Mrs. Chet Ocken (Lucinda), Breda.
She also leaves 21 grandchildren, a twin sister, Sr. M. Eustella,
Lacrosse, Wis.; another sister, Sr. M. Julia, LaCrosse, and one brother,
Peter Olbertz, Milford. Two sisters preceded her in death.
